The server hit an unexpected error. This is usually a configuration issue rather than something wrong with your data.

Common causes on shared hosting

Database credentials in api/config.php are missing or incorrect — check DB_HOST, DB_NAME, DB_USER, DB_PASS.
The database schema hasn't been imported yet — run install.html, or import database.sql via phpMyAdmin.
A recent update added new tables or columns your database doesn't have yet — run migration.sql via phpMyAdmin.
PHP version mismatch, or a required extension (like curl or pdo_mysql) isn't enabled on this hosting account.
File permissions — the uploads/attachments/ folder needs to be writable if the Document Vault is in use.

If this keeps happening, check your hosting's PHP error log for the specific error message.
